Avista Hospital is one of the worst hospitals that one could go. I was brought here after injuring myself at work. These fucking idiots did not process my Worker's Compensation information, which left me with a huge bill. Once back to work, I returned the bill with all the necessary statements for determining the items to be billed. They received it, but have gone incommunicado after that. I called in several times with request for faxing all necessary information to the claim manager. When calls did not work, I went in personally to sort out the issue. It was of not much help. The lady at the desk was all at sea when I asked her about the status of my Work Comp. She went inside and came back after an hour and said she had no idea and all the concerned people have gone home. So, three months later, my bills have been sent to a collection agency which is impacting my credit.

Please, please, please do not visit this hospital. They are a disgrace on healthcare and just do not know how to work with patients. Their stupidity has made a major negative impact on my life. I sincerely hope it does not happen to you.

We have been facing this issue for the second time at Avista Emergency. First, it was my son, and now my wife. She was brought here with a very high temperature and frequent bouts of diarrhea alternating with vomiting. Both times, Avista nursing staff were rude and extremely judgmental. During these times, we need some empathy and comforting words, but it was the last thing that we got at this hospital. In addition to being rude, these people also lacked proper knowledge. Both times, I had to tell them to get additional information about the problems so that they could get a better understanding and give proper treatment.

We had one nice nurse who showed compassion to my wife, but it is my fear that it is an exception here and not a norm. My wife did not feel like she was being cared for, and it has made a difficult situation worse. They also do not give blankets, and when I went and asked for it, all I got was a dirty blanket and a look that could have killed me. It is better to go to another hospital where at least you are treated as human beings.

Avista Adventist Hospital staff is dismissive of their patients. Everyone is incompetent, and that includes doctors also. Nurses and CNAs are busy in gossiping with each other and with doctors. They lie with a straight face, and when confronted, they call security. I had gone to the ER with my mother who had a head injury, which required surgery and also had issues with the spine. Complete incompetence.

I had visited the Avista Adventist ER a few days back. It was my 4th visit with Avista during the last four years; three emergency visits and one admission after banging my knees following a snowboarding accident. I must admit that the level of care that I have got across the years have been great. I sometimes feel that Avista considers me as a part of their family because the level of care is exceptional.

Getting admitted to ER takes a few minutes, and one can see the nurses very quickly. The entire process from being admitted to getting treated and then discharge happens very super quick. And every single individual, right down to the security guard, ensures that your stay is as comfortable as possible. I hope you won’t need to go to an emergency room, but in case if you need to go anywhere, then Avista Hospital ER is the place to go. You can be assured that the entire team will take great care of you.

Walked into Avista Adventist ER three days back with my wife who was suffering from severe dehydration, and to my pleasant surprise, she got a bed almost instantaneously and was hooked to an IV by a wonderful nurse. The entire medical team was very professional and very nice and comforting. The doctor kept checking to make sure she was okay, and so did the nurses. We were in the ER for only three hours and that included coming in and walking out as a satisfied patient. Our experience was nothing but AMAZING. I've visited quite a few hospitals ERs my entire life, and this one was the best of all!

Visiting Avista ER is super expensive, and ordinary Americans like us cannot afford it. I got a bill of $1600 dollars (after the co-insurance discount) for using the "facility." The doctor who treated me also billed me around $110 (again after the co-insurance discount). I had gone to the ER for getting my eyesight checked. This is what was done – the doctor checked my eye using a flashlight, made me read the eye chart and checked my blood pressure. The attending physician then asked me to get myself checked with an ophthalmologist. Everything got over in a few minutes.

And for this, I am paying $1700+.

My wife took our son to Avista for getting some bloodwork done. The facility is clean. The staff was knowledgeable, caring, and overall friendly. The only bump in the overall smooth affair was rude behavior and attitude from the lab techs, but it can be glossed over as the techs were busy with work. Overall, it can we had a wonderful “hospital” experience at Avista.

I have been to various hospitals over the past few years, so I am able to compare the ERs of various hospitals when it comes to staff, accommodation as well as the quality of service. The patient’s family members get the text from Avista the moment the patient is escorted into the surgery room and when they are shifted to recovery. Surgery updates are also provided. Every single nurse whom we had interacted with were patient and caring. Thanks to them, this has become our favorite hospital. My review will be incomplete if I do not talk about the food served at Avista. It is wonderful and nothing like the food served at other hospitals!

Came here to be seen by an ophthalmologist (can’t recall the name, but it was suite 100, most probably). The doctor and her staff were super. They were amazing. One could not stop raving about how nice and friendly the doctor and her assistants were.

Even the facilities provided were great. When I had come, the dining area was located in the basement. Must admit that have never seen a better dining hall. Besides the standard menu, they also offered various options for both vegetarian and vegan. I was highly impressed with Avista, and if the need arises, I will come back to this wonderful hospital.
