Einstein Medical Center cheats you and has no shame in saying so…

Went to Einstein for a bad case of toothache. The doctor comes, looks into the mouth, gives me Tylenol extra strength to bear with the pain, and refers me to a dentist. Once the consultation is over, a receptionist comes and tells me that if I pay the entire bill amount now, then I need not worry about getting any other bill. I was happy to hear that and paid the bill in full. This happened in January.

Fast forward to March 22, 2019. I get a bill of $400 towards the physician bill. I call up the number given. A lady picks up the phone and says that there was nothing of that sort ever and I have to pay the amount within a few days or else it will be turned over to collections. I was aghast. I started arguing with the lady that the receptionist said that I would never get any other bill. She said I might have misunderstood. Not sure what is there to misunderstand in “would never get any other bill.”

Long story short, Einstein screwed me. They do not have any shame in lying through their teeth. If they had told that the physician bill is separate, then I would not have gotten so angry. Completely pissed off. Would not return seeking care!!!!

This review is for corrupt billing practices of Einstein Medical Center. A few months back, I was between insurances and once had to visit the hospital for an emergency. Since I was between insurances, I had to pay in cash. The hospital told me that if I paid the entire amount, they would waive off the doctor’s fees. I thought fair enough and decided to pay off. I asked the hospital if I would get a written confirmation that I have paid off in full. They declined to give such assurances and said that if one does not receive any bill, it is considered as paid off. I paid off the hospital bill and did not receive any bills from them.

Today, out of the blue, a bill collector called and said I have pending dues and it needs to be cleared off quickly. This is disgusting. These F*&K&^G BA&^A%$S have destroyed my score. Thank you, as*&^es for screwing me up. I won't return and will also make it a point to let others know the fraudulent practices that the center follows.

The medical center might not be in a commercial area or an area which would do a lot of business, but these guys do provide loving care to their patients. They are incredibly competent and genuinely friendly. They come and talk to you, and go that extra mile to make sure that you do not feel alone in times of distress

My wife had been a patient at the Einstein Medical Center. I must say that I was skeptical about the hospital, but they have taken very good care of her. She was given a private room which allowed her to recuperate quickly. She was down with spiking fever, chills, and had a loss of fluids. The staff had taken excellent care of her. The ER nurse and the floor nurse were great. The panel of doctors who treated her were also great. Thanks to their exceptional care, my wife was able to get back to her normal self.

Einstein Medical Center has some wonderful nurses who take pride in what they do. They never give up their lovely smile. I was taken care of by one such lovely nurse. Her smile was like a beacon of hope. She took great care of me. I am not able to recollect her name, but rest assured she will always be in my prayers.
