Since a few months, I have been feeling sick half an hour or so after I eat something. It doesn’t happen every time, but it does happen most often when I eat. So, these days I am pretty scared of eating anything at all. Last week when I had to go through something similar again, I chose to come to Advent. I explained my situation to them and wanted to be checked into the ER. They made me wait for 45 minutes before letting me in and when I was taken in, the nurse in charge seemed quite rude and tried to brush things off and made me feel like it was something I could sort out at home and coming over to the ER was a wrong decision I took.

The only solution she could offer was to take Bactrim and I tried explaining it to her that I have tried it out a million times and failed and I would definitely need something else to keep the food down. But she was in no mood to listen! She coaxed me to take Bactrim and send me off home so that she could be done with me. I regret my decision of going to this place. Would never recommend this place to anyone else.

I was here at this hospital to get some lab work done but alas I did not make it an inch further than the registration process. The wait was so long and no one seemed to know the exact process of how I could get things done. And I ended up going from one place to the other and wasted my time speaking to people who were nowhere relevant to all this. I could not tolerate any more slackness with things and decided to walk out of the place.
Ohh, forgot to mention; the prices they mentioned were also sky rocketing. No other place I have ever seen quoting such high rates.

I was at Advent’s because of an emergency situation and I must say the check in process was quick and efficient and in the ER I did not have to wait for hours together to be seen by a doctor. What I liked the most about the hospital is they made efforts to keep everything spick and span. Every nook and corner is clean, dust free and the floors shine bright like a mirror. The parking is also close by and there is ample space in there as well. Their café and gift shop is also one in its kind and is definitely worth visiting at least once. The food is good in quality, better in taste than what you get outside and very reasonable too. I think that explains the long wait at the cafeteria. It is a good hospital to come to if you want to get yourself treated.

If you ask me, this is one of the worst hospitals I have ever been to. No doubt, the place is all palatial and well-maintained. But that’s the only plus point about the place. Like me, you might be floored seeing their infrastructure but my sincere advise to you – do not fall for it. That’s all they have and that’s how they attract good potential customers and ruin their day.

I know of cases where they have put their patient’s life at risk by accidentally overdosing them on medication. This particular instance itself shows the unprofessional behavior of doctors and nurses at Advent.

Stay as far as possible from this place!

My mom is still admitted at Advent and things seem to be pretty much ok with her. The staff is cordial and make sure things are in place. They are committed to their work and are responsible enough to see to it that nothing goes wrong with their patients. Overall, with respect to medical facilities and the staff, I would say the place is good but nothing extraordinary.

What adds an edge to the place is their wonderful cafeteria; they spoil you for choices! I am not exaggerating on this. I am quite fussy about what I put into my mouth and surprisingly, I had one of my favorite meals ever at Advent’s café.

Even you find the hospital not worth visiting, I would strongly recommend you to grab a bite at their cafeteria. I am coming back here again for FOOOOOOODDD!!

To be honest, I liked the staff and the team of the hospital. They are nice to people, courteous and patient. I have seen them try to the best of their abilities to make their patients feel comfortable.

But on a personal level, my experience at this facility was not all that great. The nurse who attended to me in the ER was great and I couldn’t have managed without her but it took her more than 3 hours from the time she first saw me, to give me a hospital bed. I had to wait in one corner till then.

That was the only thing that put me off. If the hospital authorities can somehow manage that and reduce the wait time, it would be wonderful.

The staff who work at Advent have absolutely no respect for their patients or the ones who accompany them. I might be 60 plus but I am not senile or stupid. I have enough memory power and the sense to carry out my day to day activities without taking help from anyone. This place is supposed to be a 3 tier hospital but when there is a need, there are no specialist doctors readily available for your help. Do not go in here!

I had to undergo a biopsy here at Advent and when I went in, I had absolutely no clue about how it would go for me and some sort of fear had completely engulfed my mind, barring its capacity to think clearly. But the staff at Advent were highly understanding and caring and did all they could to make me feel comfortable. In spite of a few glitches that occurred during the procedure because of my fault, not even once any of them lost their patience and they cared enough to check on me 2 days later to see if I was recovering well from the procedure. Loved their compassion!
