The name change does not change anything. Florida Health or AdventHealth, whatever you may want to call it, the service remains the same – terrible.

I visited the AdventHealth ER on Feb 16th, 2019 in the afternoon. I was greeted by an RN who is totally unfit for this profession. She was both verbally and physically abusive. She pushed me around and tried to eject us out as we interrupted her afternoon siesta. When I told her that she was crossing her limits, she increased the intensity of the abuses. Her antics were scaring my young child. I finally had enough and went to meet the ER admin, but guess what – admin does not know the name of the nurse even when I described her to the last detail. I promised to the ER admin that I will get her name and report to all the authorities such as the Florida Board of Nursing and ACHA, and ensure that the RN is kicked out of the profession.

Keep away for AdventHealth. In the unfortunate event of needing to go there and take treatment, then watch out for the billing. I visited the ER and met the doctor for my recurring right elbow pain. When I went to the billing, I was amazed to see that they charged me for an IV. I told them there is some mistake and I went to seek treatment for arm pain, but the billing executive would have none of it. It stays, they said.

They are an unethical religious group who think that just by buying hospitals, they can become great. Advise you to go to Tampa General if you want real medical care.

My father had also availed the services of this hospital for hip replacement. They put some cheap third-rate prosthetic hip. He also did not get appropriate rehab. I had to take him to Tampa General for revision surgery. Thanks to God and Tampa General, he received the right prosthetic hip and appropriate rehab.

Bottom line – KEEP AWAY…..

Personally, I had an excellent hospital experience. I came with severe abdominal pain. They saw me right away. The doctor saw me within minutes and ordered tests. It was noted in imaging that I had a severe bowel obstruction and would be required to be admitted. I was transferred to the floor, and appropriate treatment was started immediately. I was in the hospital for totally three days, and I did not encounter anything which would have soured my experience. The nurses were good, and so were the doctors. Both the ER and the room were clean. Highly recommend this hospital

I was suffering from sciatica and wanted to get some painkillers for the bearing out the pain till next appointment with my doctor. I waited for approximately three hours in the ER before the doctor saw me. However, I do not mind the wait, as I was seen by a gentleman who had excellent bedside manners. He not only gave the medications but also showed some exercises that can relieve the pain. Thank you AdventHealth for employing such wonderful gentleman doctors.

I was rushed to the ER and then transferred to the floor for treatment of kidney infection. The nurses in the ER, as well as the floor, were amazing!! They were companionate and genuinely cared for my wellbeing. Some of them were also witty and cracked jokes to lighten up the mood. The food was also pretty good, much better than your regular hospital food! Even the doctors were great. If you need urgent care or, have to be admitted, then go to AdventHealth in North Pinellas. You would be provided with excellent care
