One can call my family and me as regulars here. We have been to numerous hospitals over the past decade that we have been in Abbeville, but the care and affection that we get at Abbeville Area Medical Center is outstanding. You can be rest assured that you would get the best possible care when you come to this hospital.

What attracts me to this hospital is the fact that they treat you like a family member and not just a number. The moment one gets treated like a family member, then the care increases several notches. Keep up the good work, guys

Completely pissed off by the attitude of an ER nurse!!!!

I had visited the ER with severe abdominal pain. The front desk was terrific and took care of all the paperwork and rushed me back. The triage nurse took me in quickly, and I had to wait for maybe 30 minutes before I was taken back to the room (the ER had only sparse crowd).

A PA was evaluating me, but now and then, an idiot called Shannon kept on popping her head in the evaluation room. There was no need for her presence, but she still kept coming in…maybe she did not know that patients need privacy when they are being evaluated. Even the PA was getting irritated, but Shannon kept on intruding now and then.

Thanks to her, I did not get appropriate privacy nor adequate treatment. I cannot blame the PA here, but I think the hospital authorities should teach people like Shannon that they cannot intrude the privacy of a patient and interrupt the evaluation and subsequent care. I ended with a pain med and a referral to a specialist…

My family had recently shifted here from Arkansas, and we were yet to get a PCP and establish proper medical care. A few nights back, my four-year-old daughter had worsening of her allergic condition, and we ended up visiting the Abbeville ER. The care that Stephie got even at such ungodly hours was amazing. The nurses and the doctor were absolute gems and made sure that Stephie got fine within no time. Very pleased with the care that Stephie got here…

I had to get a test done. I was asked to report at the place by 10:00 AM. I came at 9:45 AM and was taken back a few minutes before the scheduled appointment, and I was out by 10:15. Now, that is called perfect and excellent service. Very satisfied with the way I was taken care of
